Nestled in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht, this two-week course offers secondary school students the chance to improve their Irish in a fun, supportive, and immersive environment.
With small course sizes (100 students) and a low student-to-staff ratio (12:1), each child receives the individual attention they need to thrive. Students stay with local families in comfortable, inspected homes, practicing their Irish daily while enjoying traditional hospitality. Optional excursions to the stunning Aran Islands and tours of Connemara make this a truly enriching experience.

- Each course is restricted to 100 students, so individual attention is guaranteed. Everyone knows everyone!
- Students are better Irish speakers at the end of the course.
- We offer a very small student/staff ratio (Approximately 12:1). This is much smaller than the ratio found in schools.
- Students are supervised at all times and student safety is of the utmost importance.
- Students are looked after extremely well by the cinnirí, the bean an tí, the teachers, assistants and the principal.
- Cinnirí are a feature of Coláiste Uí Chadhain and are particularly helpful to new and younger students.
- We offer a €100 reduction in price for two siblings / €200 for three siblings.
Loistín / Student Accommodation
Students stay in comfortable, high-quality homes near the Coláiste, all of which meet the highest standards and are inspected by the Department of Arts, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht. Each home is hosted by a welcoming Bean an Tí, who provides home-cooked meals and encourages students to practice their Irish in a relaxed, family setting.
